Refuge des Conscrits
The refuge is located in the Mont Blanc massif, in the heart of the Contamines Montjoie nature reserve, in a preserved and wild area which offers a wide variety of routes.
In a high mountain site, on a balcony where sheepskin rocks and short grass mingle, dominating the course of the Tré la Tête glacier and facing the glacial slope of the ridge leading from Mont Tondu to the Aiguille de Glaciers, the Conscrits is one of the most beautiful and comfortable refuges in the Alps.
A well-stocked library (more than 100 comic strips, photo books) will offer you beautiful moments of idleness on the terrace.
On the practical side: sleeping in dormitories with duvets, no showers but (cold) water in the sinks, except in the spring before the building is filled with water.
To know: no mobile phone network at the refuge! Tell those around you to avoid worries.
