Boucle des Bénés

A hike that provides access to a "plateau" located at an average altitude of 1800m and from which the view of the Mont-Blanc massif is incomparable.
Topo / step by step

1/ From “Parking les Mouilles”, follow the direction “Le Peray”
2/ Arrived at “Le Perray” continue in the direction of “Le Chanté-Chalets des Bénés-Cabane du Petit Pâtre”. Be careful, do not go in the direction of “Tête noir”.
3/ You will then pass through the following places: “Le Chanté”, “Les Seythets d'en Haut” until you reach the Cabane du Petit Pâtre.
4/ Arrived at the Cabane du Petit Pâtre, continue your way in the direction of “Chalet des Bénés”.
5/ From “Chalet des Bénés” take the fork which will allow you to go down in the direction of “Le Peray”, “Cordon”, and then reach your starting point at the Les Mouilles car park.

Description

Walking on this very wide ridge, located between the eastern slope of the Aravis range and the Arve valley, provides a pleasant feeling of escape.

A slope well exposed to the sun, rich in its traditional mountain agriculture, the Cordon hillside offers an opening onto the entire Pays du Mont-Blanc.

From the hamlet of Les Mouilles, discover after a first climb in the forest a magnificent 360° view of the Aravis, the Tête du Coney, the Arve valley, Mont Joly or even the hillside of Combloux-Cordon under your feet.

You are then on the Plateau des Bénés, facing the Mont Blanc Massif. The path guides you on this wide ridge, the landscapes and are very open, to the foot of the Grand Croisse Baulet, a 2236 meter high peak.

When you arrive at the Cabane du Petit Pâtre, take the time to enjoy the picnic area while contemplating the view before going back down to your starting point.
