The resort and the ESF of Combloux organized the solidarity torchlight descent yesterday as part of the national operation “Les P'tits Flambeaux”. The sale of the torches raised €1200 which will be donated to the Enfance et Montagne association.

Initiated by France Montagnes in partnership with the National Association of Mayors of Mountain Resorts and Ski Areas of France, the “Les P'tits Flambeaux” operation invited the French mountains to mobilize this Thursday, February 15 to raise money for associations which work to introduce the mountain environment to children who do not have access to it.

The torchlight descents take place on Wednesdays in Combloux, so it was a day in advance that the station took part in the operation. 120 torches were sold, raising €1200 for the Enfance et Montagne association.

What is the Enfance et Montagne association?

The National Union of French Ski Instructors (SNMSF) is at the origin of the Children and Mountains endowment fund. This fund serving education and benefiting mountain discovery classes aims to support and revive the French tradition of snow classes and green classes. The objective of the fund is to grant financial aid to schools wishing to carry out educational projects linked to the mountains and thus provide children with multiple benefits such as the discovery of a new environment, learning to be independent and community life or the practice of sporting and cultural activities.

Part of the money collected as part of the Les P'tits Flambeaux operation will also be donated to the Génération Montagne and Petits Princes associations.
