Record attendance at La Comblorane
This weekend took place the 27th edition of La Comblorane, a record edition in terms of participants with nearly 1000 registered for all the races.
The festivities at La Comblorane began on Friday evening with the little novelty of the program: an evening of meetings and exchanges with the athletes of the athlete center of Combloux. Jérémie Marin (trail), Kenza Lacheb (alpine skiing), Alexis Dumas (freeride) and Adrian Lafont (alpine skiing) looked back on their journeys in the world of high-level sport.
Baptiste Chassagne could not attend this year due to his participation in the World Trail Championships where he ranked 17th.
The Comblorane then continued on Saturday afternoon under the sun with the Family Race, the obstacle course for families before the entry on the track of the children who challenged each other by age category around the body of water. biotope.
At the end of the day, it was up to the trail runners of the 7km to set off on the trails of Combloux, followed by the participants of the canicross with nearly 40 dogs and their masters at the start.
Early wake-up call on Sunday morning for the 170 participants in the XL format, a 42 km maratrail whose highest point is none other than the famous summit of the Aravis “Croisse-Baulet” at 2236 meters above sea level. At the finish, Stephen Roux won in 4h34 not without emotion, dedicating his victory to his friend, co-organizer of the La Montagn'Hard race, who had disappeared a few days earlier in the mountains. Clément Dieudonné ranks 2nd in 4h40 followed by Ewen Henrio who finishes in 4h43.
Among the ladies, Gaëlle Loridat won in 5h59, ahead of Véronique Monttini who finished in 6h34, less than 2 minutes before Laetitia Gaillac who completed the podium.
At 8 a.m. it was finally the flagship race of the Comblorane, the L format of 30 km, to be launched. With 25 registered (400 more than the previous year) the race was sold out already a few days before the big start. Yanis Lecompte won this format in just 100h2, followed by Enzo Ficheux in 22h2 and Guillaume Palasset in 24h2.
As for the ladies, Clémence Blaix, a regular on the La Comblorane podium, finished in 3:01, tied with Morgane Cretton. Pauline Viel is close behind them and finishes in 3h03. Another beautiful edition with radiant smiles on the faces on arrival. The participants did not fail to underline once again the beauty of the landscapes, the quality of the markings and especially the investment and the good humor of the volunteers without whom La Comblorane could not exist!
