Loisirs Assis Evasion

This association offers people with reduced mobility or disabilities outdoor activities in the mountains, supervised by state-certified professionals: all-terrain wheelchair, paragliding, sit-ski, Tandemski, Tetraski, etc.
Loisirs Assis Evasion is a non-profit association. Its objective is to enable as many disabled people as possible and their companions to acquire maximum autonomy to practice mountain activities within a specialized structure in complete safety.
This mission involves a wide range of activities in summer and winter, the training of people wishing to practice alone or as guides, the loan of suitable equipment, the financing of stays for young people in specialized structures, the organization of activities for the elderly or even intervention on projects linked to accessibility or the development of new adapted materials.

* Loan of adapted equipment
The loan concerns, under certain conditions, several types of equipment such as joëlettes in summer or seated ski equipment in winter. They are free for individuals who, generally, make a donation to the association in order to participate in the maintenance and renewal of the machines.

*Training
Several 2-day training sessions are organized in the summer to allow professionals from specialized establishments and individuals to train in piloting the Cimgo.
In winter, two types of training are provided by the association: Tandemski piloting and support for sitting skiers in Uniski or autonomous Dualski, piloted Dualski or Snow'Kart. Several programs exist and take into account the level of people who wish to train. Each year, special training intended for parents of children with disabilities is set up and partly financed by the association.

*Activities***
The support of a disabled person in a mountain activity by Loisirs Assis Evasion is not limited to the time of the activity but is the subject of global support taking into account the type of disability and the constraints that this poses to the adaptation of the equipment including the responsibility for journeys on the site (under certain conditions), the confidence of the disabled person and the care of the family or accompanying persons.

The activities offered in summer are:
– The Cimgo: it allows you to travel all types of paths, more or less steep and discover previously inaccessible places. Well ensconced in a secure and comfortable seat, this machine is particularly aimed at people with great dependency; it is driven by a driver standing behind the passenger.
– Paragliding: depending on the levels of disability, the possibilities and the wishes of the participants, the instructors offer paragliding flights in a tandem standing position or with a 3-wheel chair specifically designed for paragliding.
– All-Terrain Armchair (FTT): it makes hiking accessible to people with the use of their upper limbs, with friends or family. FTT hiking allows you to descend mountain paths comfortably seated in a seat fixed to a chassis with four wheels. You direct and manage the pace of your machine yourself using mountain bike handlebar-style handles.
– The electric All-Terrain Wheelchair (FTT): it makes hiking accessible to people with limited use of their upper limbs, with friends or family thanks in particular to the use of an accelerator handle or a joystick .
– Climbing, Treetop Walking and Rafting: in partnership with external service providers, we intervene to best meet the specific needs of people with disabilities throughout the implementation of the activity.

The activities offered in winter are:
– The Tandemski (or Tandem'Flex for its recent version): it is a bucket seat type armchair fixed on skis, piloted by a person stationed on the latter, just behind the seat. The Tandemski allows people, even those with severe disabilities, possibly without any autonomy or who are very fragile, to slide safely on ski slopes and thus enjoy the joys of winter sports.
– Uniski & Dualski: these are machines intended for people who do not have use of their lower limbs. They allow you to ski in complete autonomy with performances comparable to those of the best able-bodied skiers.
– The Snow'Kart: it is intended for people wishing to ski independently but whose use of a Uniski or Dualski is not possible due to a lack of balance, strength or poor coordination of movements . The skier sits in a seat, fixed on a frame on which the skis are articulated. Two handles allow the seated skier to move and steer their skis alone.
– The Tetraski: This machine is an automated Snowkart which allows you to ski semi-autonomously either with a joystick or with a blower. It is used for more severely disabled people. Since its acquisition and again in winter 2023, the association is the only one to install this machine in Europe.
– The piloted Dualski: this machine allows partially autonomous or totally dependent people to practice seated skiing in a comfortable and efficient manner. This Dualski on which a steering bar is attached gives the seated skier the feeling of skiing almost alone and the pilot great comfort of use.
– Off-Piste Skiing & Heliskiing

In summer/winter:
– The Hippocampe: it is a kind of all-terrain wheelchair with three wheels which allows access to water for swimming in summer or to walk on snowshoe trails in winter thanks to an adaptation on the wheel Before
– The Hockey Sled: originally intended for playing hockey in a seated position, it provides access to sliding in the same way as ice skating on ice rinks. It is an enveloping seat fixed on a light frame, carried on two adjustable spacer blades. Accompanied by two crosses, at the base for playing with pucks, these will also be used to move around.
