1/ From the Tonnaz car park, follow the direction of the Refuge du Plan de l'Aar and the Tête du Torraz. Following the forest track, you will pass through Les Plans and Bonne Fontaine.
2/ Arriving at the Refuge du Plan de l'Aar, the return to your starting point is via the same route as on the outward journey

The Plan de l'Aar hike is a magnificent family hike with the objective of the Aar refuge, located at 1731 meters above sea level.
From the hamlet of La Tonnaz you will not encounter any major difficulty during your climb to the refuge. This hike is ideal for a family weekend and a first experience in a refuge with the children.
At the refuge, you will be welcomed by the mountaineers, who will prepare meals and picnics for you to take away, good mountain products await you!
Your children will also be able to discover the farm animals present on site, and understand the importance of the presence of herds in our Alpine pastures and the maintenance of the mountain that they carry out.
