Lac Cornu

Lac Cornu is a high altitude lake located between the summit of the Index chairlift and Planpraz. It is the direct neighbor of the Black Lakes.

Located about ten minutes from the Lacs Noirs. Lac Cornu is covered in snow or ice nearly 9 months of the year! It is a calm and peaceful place from which you will be able to see most of the time, a beautiful band of wild ibexes, clinging to the walls surrounding this mountain lake.

Further information :
Animals are not accepted because the lake is located within the perimeter of the nature reserve.

Tips and Suggestions :
Be careful, high altitude lakes are fragile! Respect the area: avoid swimming or doing your dishes there, trampling on wetlands, launching watercraft (buoys, paddles, etc.) and throwing nothing into the lake (stones, waste ).
