Easily accessible, the site is ideal for a family stroll or a contemplative break. A trail runs around the lake, overlooking it, allowing visitors to appreciate all its facets. Depending on the light and the seasons, the landscape changes and takes on unique colors.

No swimming or water activities are permitted there in order to preserve this fragile ecosystem.

Access by bus: line Y85, stop "Plaine-Joux". Timetable at https://borini.com/region/
Access by car: follow the D43 towards “Plaine-Joux”. Park in the car park of the same name. The lake is accessible via a fairly easy 30-minute walk.
There is a barrier between the Plaine-Joux car park and the Lac Vert car park.
In July and August, free shuttles operate between the Plaine-Joux car park and Lac Vert. Outside of this period, and for people with reduced mobility only, you can request the barrier code upon presentation of proof at the Passy Tourist Office.

Access on foot or with snowshoes only, parking in the Passy Plaine Joux car park is compulsory
