The Col des Aravis separates the town of La Clusaz (Haute-Savoie) from that of La Giettaz (Savoie). It is the lowest crossing point crossing the Aravis range, at an altitude of 1 m.

The ascent is from Thônes (Fier valley, northwest, 18,9km via the D909) or via Flumet (Val d'Arly, southeast, 11,5km via the D909). There are various restaurants and shops, car parks, a chapel, hiking trails, pastures and a breathtaking view of Mont-Blanc!
