Le Mont-Charvin

Mt Charvin (2407m), one of the main points of the Aravis massif, is distinguished by its pyramidal shape and its steep rock.
This is perhaps why it is called like this: Charvin in fact indicates a bare summit (charve dialect, bald).
In summer :
Two Via Ferratas have been set up on the slopes of Charvin (Le Gollet de la Trouye and Le Pas de l'Ours). Information Ugine Tourist Office.

Pedestrian access via Marlens (hamlet of Bouchet).

At the foot of Mont-Charvin, on the Haute-Savoie side, you can access Lac du Mont-Charvin

To the left of Mont-Charvin, we see from the perspective three needles called the Aiguilles du Mont (2133m) or more poetically “the three witches”. According to an ancient legend, one of them would hide a treasure.
