As a high place of passage of the Tour de France this summer, Combloux will vibrate for three days to the rhythm of one of the biggest cycling events in the world. What do these major competitions that are looming in our alpine village have in store for us? Light on the 15th and 16th stages of the Grande Boucle which will pass through Combloux in mid-July, as well as on the festivities organized on the sidelines of the official riders' rest day.
Which stages of the Tour de France 2023 go through Combloux?
The 110th edition of the Tour de France puts Haute-Savoie in the spotlight. The famous cycling competition actually takes place over 5 days in the department.
As far as we are concerned, the Pays du Mont-Blanc stands out as a stronghold of the 110th Grande Boucle since it will host the prestigious cycling race from Sunday July 16 to Wednesday July 19, 2023… and guess what? The vast majority of the routes planned in our magnificent region nestled at the foot of Mont-Blanc pass through Combloux. What a bargain!

The alpine route of the most prestigious of cycling competitions gives us a glimpse of an arduous route, punctuated by multiple ascents of passes. Let's discover the three mountain stages, renowned for their difficulty and their spectacle, which will cross our village-resort this summer.
The 110th Great Loop in the Pays du Mont-Blanc: Routes and Profiles unveiled
From Sunday July 16 to Wednesday July 19, over a period of 4 days and through 3 stages, 8 municipalities of the Pays du Mont-Blanc will be crossed by the cyclists of the Tour de France
15th stage: Les Gets → Saint-Gervais-les-Bains
Here is a brief overview of the cycling event which:
- precedes CLM Passy-Combloux
- marks the second day of our top athletes in Haute-Savoie.
After having criss-crossed the Chablais massif, the Arve valley and finally the Pays du Mont-Blanc, our cyclists will finally switch to the stopover town of Saint-Gervais in the Val Monjoie, on Sunday July 16.
Our cyclists will return to service on Tuesday July 18, to continue their crossing of the Alps towards Combloux.
16th stage: Time trial Passy → Combloux
17th stage: Saint-Gervais-les-Bains → Courchevel
On Wednesday July 19, 2023, for stage 17, the peloton will set off again from Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, to cover some 166km which separate the Upper Savoyard spa town from the Altiport of Courchevel, located in Savoie. .
To reach the prestigious winter sports resort, the route will pass through:
- Half-Quarter,
- Megève
- Praz-sur-Arly
- Before leaving our magnificent territory straddling the two Savoys.
Before crossing the finish line in Courchevel, it is notably expected that the runners will take the Col de la Loze (distance of 28.4km on a 6% gradient).
