Mandatory equipment

  • Mandatory equipment for races L et M has evolved. In addition to the individual cup and charged cell phone, remember to add: trail shoes or crampons, survival blanket, water reserve (0,5 L), whistle, waterproof jacket (Gore-tex type).

 

To all races, please also bring a bib holder or pins.

 

A random check of bags will be carried out before departure to verify the presence of mandatory equipment.

 

Points requiring special attention

  • Zaive Bridge (Cordon) not accessible, passage in the watercourse
  • Névé at Avenaz + traffic in both directions (crossing of runners from the XL on the descent and from the L on the ascent)

 

Time barriers

Runners arriving after the deadline will have to collect their bibs. Find details of time barriers on pages dedicated to each format.

 

Restoration and biotope entry

Le meal and free entry to the biotope are on your bib, so remember to keep it carefully!

Race registrations

Registrations will be open from Friday December 1, 2023 to Thursday June 06, 2024 (except Family Race):

  • Online (Registration fees for the Njuko platform are the responsibility of the runner).
  • By post, by sending your complete file (duly completed registration form, payment by check payable to the Combloux Tourist Office, as well as a copy of your valid license or medical certificate), at the following address: Tourist Office – 49 chemin des Passerands – 74920 COMBLOUX,
  • Direct from the Tourist Office reception.

For the Family Race, registrations will be done on site. It will also be possible to register on site for the S trail and the Kids Race, although we strongly advise you to register in amont because places are not guaranteed:

  • Saturday June 08, 2024: from 14:00 p.m. to 17:00 p.m. for participants in the Family Race, the S trail as well as the Kids Race (depending on places available).
  • Sunday June 09, 2024: no on-site registration possible because the race formats on this day are full.

Conditions of participation

Participation in the various races is subject to the minimum age criteria for running the different race formats and the presentation of a medical certificate (more details below).

Number of bibs per race

  • XL – 42 km: limited to 300 participants
  • L – 25 km: limited to 400 participants
  • M – 15 km: limited to 300 participants
  • S – 7 km: limited to 200 participants
  • Cani-Comblorane: limited to 50 participants

Minimum age per race

  • XL – 42 km: from the U23 Espoir category (born between 2002 and 2004)
  • L – 25 km: from the U23 Espoir category (born between 2002 and 2004)
  • M – 15 km: from the Junior category (born between 2005 and 2006)
  • S – 7 km: from the Cadet U18 category (born between 2007 and 2008)
  • Cani-Comblorane: from the Cadet U18 category (born between 2007 and 2008)
  • Family Race: no minimum age category required, minors must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Kids Race: children are aged 4 to 15 and will participate in the race that corresponds to their age category.

Medical certificate

In accordance with article 231-2-1 of the sports code, participation in the competition (XL, L, M and S races) is subject to mandatory presentation:

  • Either from a FFA license : Athlé Compétition, Athlé Entreprise, Athlé Running or a “I like running pass” valid on the date of the event. Please note, other licenses issued by the FFA are not accepted.
  • Eithera sports license, valid on Comblorane Day, on which must appear, by all means, the non-contraindication to the practice of sport in competition, athletics in competition or running in competition competition. This license must be issued by one of the following federations: FCD, FFSA, FFH, FSPN, ASPTT, FSCF, FSGT, UFOLEP.
  • Either a medical certificate of no contraindication to competitive running, dated less than one year from the date of the competition, or its copy. No other document can be accepted to attest to possession of the medical certificate.

For the race S Cani Comblorane, concerning your 4-legged companion, it is necessary to provide vaccination certificates (rabies, parvovirus, kennel cough, distemper).

The Organizer will keep, for no defined period, the trace of the license presented, or the copy of the certificate. One of these documents must be attached:

  • When registering on the website (www.combloux.com),
  • Directly at the Tourist Office before Wednesday June 5

All medical certificates must be submitted before Wednesday June 5. No medical certificate will be accepted on the day of the race.

Deadlines for providing your supporting documents

For L and XL races: the document must be sent/provided to the organizer no later than Wednesday June 5. Otherwise, the bib will be canceled without possibility of refund and may be reassigned.

For S and M races: if the document is missing when collecting the bibs, the runner will not be authorized to start the race, the bib will therefore be canceled and may be reassigned.

For Cani Comblorane: documents must be sent no later than Saturday May 25 (minimum legal date for verification of documents concerning dogs). Otherwise, the runner will not be authorized to start the race, the bib will therefore be canceled and may be reassigned.

Mandatory equipment

For the trail XL : personal cup, water reserve of at least 0,5 L, survival blanket, whistle, charged mobile phone, trail shoes or crampons.

Also note for the trail L and trail M : personal cup, water reserve of at least 0,5 L, survival blanket, whistle, charged mobile phone, trail shoes or crampons.

For other formats, only the personal cup and mobile phone are required. Trail shoes or crampons are strongly recommended.

For all races, please bring your bib holder or pins.

A random check of bags will be carried out before departure to verify the presence of mandatory equipment.

Minor participants

Minor athletes must have parental authorization to participate, to be provided upon registration or failing that, upon collection of bibs. A parental authorization model can be provided by the organizer, you must first send a request for a model to [email protected].

Withdrawal, resale or transfer of bibs

All commitment is personal. No transfer of registration is permitted for any reason. Any person returning their bib to a third person will be held responsible in the event of an accident occurring or caused by the latter during the event. Any person with a bib acquired in violation of these regulations may be disqualified. The organization declines all responsibility in the event of an accident in this type of situation. The bib must be fully legible during the race and hung on the front using safety pins or bib belt, allowing it to be maintained and visible.

It is possible to withdraw until Friday May 31, 2024, for medical reasons, upon presentation of medical proof. Reimbursement will be made up to the amount paid during registration less the €1 registration fee. If you decide not to participate, contact us promptly at [email protected] so that bibs can be reallocated to people on the waiting list.

Race transfer

The transfer of the registration of the same person, already registered, for another race format than the one initially chosen is possible.

  • For the transfer of a format from a smaller distance to a greater one, the surcharge of the current rate will be payable.
  • For the transfer of a format from a greater distance to a smaller one, no additional fare will be charged, but no reimbursement of the fare difference will be possible.

Packet/Bib Pick up

It will be possible to collect your bib:

  • Friday June 07, 2024: from 10 a.m. to 16 p.m. at the Terre de Running store in Sallanches, then from 16:30 p.m. to 18:30 p.m. at the Combloux Tourist Office for XL, L, M and S and Cani-Comblorane races.
  • Saturday June 08, 2024: in the village of Comblorane, next to the biotope lake, from 14 p.m. to 15:30 p.m. for the Family Race, from 14 p.m. to 15:45 p.m. for the Kids Race races, and from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m. for the XL, L, M, S and Cani-Comblorane.
  • Sunday June 09, 2024: from 06 a.m. to 06:45 a.m. for the XL race, from 07 a.m. to 08:15 a.m. for the L race and from 07:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. for the M race, in the village of Comblorane, next to the biotope lake.

Warning, any runner presenting themselves for bib collection, must be able to prove their identity, in order to avoid any fraud.

A person outside the race can remove an athlete's bib, provided you have the participant's identity document.

Find below the parking suggestions that we recommend once you arrive in Combloux.

Road closures – Saturday June 8

The Critérium du Dauphiné passes through Combloux on Saturday June 8 for its 7th stage between Albertville and Samoëns. Traffic on the 1212 departmental road in Combloux will be neutralized from 10:30 a.m. to 13 p.m.
  • Parking of the Crystals
  • Field at the end of the body of water biotope
  • Combloux Town Hall car park
  • Parking de la Princesse (2,3 km away)
  • Brons car park (4,6 km away)

Free entry to the biotope with your bib!

Thanks to your bib, you can benefit from free entry to the biotope water body!

Ideal for refreshing before or after the race.

Please note, this advantage is only valid once and only on the weekend of June 8-9, 2024.

To take advantage of it, simply present your bib at the race checkout.

 

NB: swimming shorts are prohibited. Find the commandments of the good bather.

Leaderboards and awards

Timing is provided by a professional organization, only for the XL, L, M and S trails. No timing for the Family Race and the Kids Race.

Race results will be available online at the beginning of the week after the race.

Standings

  • For XL, L, M and S trails: men's and women's scratch classification. The rewards will be awarded to the first 3 men and women in each race. Checks will be carried out on the route. Any classified rider who does not pass one or more checkpoints will be disqualified and removed from the rankings. If 2 people racing for the podium cross the finish line at the same time, the ranking will be determined according to the timing.
  • For the Kids Race, ranking of the first 3 boys and 3 girls, for each race. The prize giving will take place at the end of all the races.

Rewards

Following the establishment of the rankings, the podium ceremony to present the awards will take place in the race village from 20 p.m. on Saturday and around noon on Sunday.

Post-race meals and showers

At the end of the various XL, L, M, S and Cani-Comblorane races, a post-race meal will be served. Don't throw away your bib, it's what you'll use to enjoy your meal!

  • Saturday June 8, 2024 for the S and Cani-Comblorane races: meals from 19 p.m.
  • Sunday June 9 for XL, L and M races: from 12 p.m.

A paid refreshment bar will also be available on site. Accompanying persons will have the possibility to purchase an additional meal, on site directly from the service provider in charge of meals (Boucherie Traiteur Chez Flo). Meal rate: €10 on Saturday evening / €12 on Sunday lunchtime. And for a sweet treat, meet at the Isa'bella Crêpes food truck in the exhibition village all weekend!

Toilets and showers are available on site within the biotope water body for those who would like to use the toilet.
