Practical information for participating in the Echappée Rando
Meeting point for the Echappée rando Combloux
Essential equipment
To participate in the Échappée Rando, make sure you have the essential equipment:
- touring skis and poles adapted to your size,
- seal skins suitable for skiing
- insert shoes (specially designed for ski touring)
- warm but breathable clothing for the climb
- dry clothes for the descent
- a headlamp
Exit sequence
After departure briefing To explain how the evening will take place and the instructions to follow, the supervisory team (ESF instructors and ski area ski patrollers) will take you to experience your first sensations in ski touring on the slopes of the Combloux ski area.
The Échappée Rando route:
- starts at the Cry car park in Combloux,
- go up the Roitelets green slope.
- then branches off onto the blue Papa,
- to allow participants to begin their final ascent towards the top of the Beauregard chairlift.
For those who wish to push the hiking experience a little further, the supervising instructor will be able to demonstrate conversions on the slopes and initiate the applicants.
Once thefun and sporty ascent Once completed, you will finally be able to take off your seal skins to hit the slope! This will then be an opportunity to savor the joys of a well-deserved ski ride by the light of your headlamp, all in an enchanting nighttime setting.
If no prerequisites are required for ski touring, please note that it is nevertheless essential to know how to ski (in alpine skiing) at least on level red track for register for the Echappée Rando. Any use of the snowmobile to go back down due to lack of sufficient skiing skills will cost you €60!
Arriving at your destination, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the most beautiful snow-capped peaks of the Alps.
