This superb loop starting from La Gruvaz takes you to discover the Truc mountain pasture and the Miage chalets, two exceptional sites offering spectacular panoramas of the Dômes de Miage, the Aiguille de Bionnassay and the valley.
Departure from the hamlet of La Gruvaz (1 m), an essential crossing point for accessing the area's mountain pastures. The trail begins with a climb through the forest, alternating between clearings and clearings overlooking the mountains at the valley floor. The progression continues towards the Truc mountain pasture, a magnificent plateau offering an open and spectacular view of the Dômes de Miage and the Aiguille de Bionnassay.
From Le Truc, a winding descent leads to the Chalets de Miage, a true picture-postcard with its high-altitude chalets and peaceful pastures. The return to La Gruvaz is via a trail descending through mountain pastures and forest, completing a sumptuous hike at the foot of the most beautiful mountains in the Alps and the Mont Blanc massif.

Departure: Gruvaz car park (1 m)
Follow the sign for “Le Truc”.
Gradual climb in the forest until the crossroads of new houses, turn right towards Truc and Frasse.
Arriving at Macherey, continue on the left towards a winding climb towards Truc
Arriving at the Truc Alpage, cross the mountain pasture. Possibility of reaching the summit of Mont Truc on your left.
Descent to the Miage chalets. Gentle downhill trail with open views.
Arrival at the chalets, possibility of catering in season.
Return to La Gruvaz by the path descending to the left of the chalets.
Loop the hike back to the starting point.
