Immerse yourself in the history of the Alps at the Château des Rubins
Go with your family to discover the Rubins Castle : a fabulous museum showcasing our mountain environment, in all its forms.
So that everyone can soak up the place at their own pace, the visit to the castle takes place in complete autonomy.
The course, particularly rewarding, has been specially designed to suit a family audience. Punctuated by around fifty immersive modules appealing to the 5 senses, it is centered around four main themes:
- mountain geology
- mountains and wildlife
- The man in the mountains
Become aware of the mountain environment with the Center de la Nature Montagnarde
Specialists in education and awareness of the alpine environment, the Center de la Nature Montagnarde offers you a rich program of activities all year round for young and old, which varies with the seasons.
Among their wide range of workshops for all audiences, we can mention among others:
- their naturalist internships around botany, geology, glaciology or nature photography
- their themed evenings and walks
- their nature activities dedicated to the little ones.
Visiting the CNM is an opportunity to marvel at the jewels of nature while enjoying fun moments in the company of your family and mountain enthusiasts.

Fancy a day indoors? Head to the municipal library of Combloux! Particularly appreciated by children, the library is a place where culture comes to life.
Ideally located in the heart of the village, it gives you free access to a large collection of works – books, magazines – that you can borrow at your leisure, but also to many other educational resources such as CDs, DVDs.
Computers and a free Wi-Fi connection are available for families, so that everyone can easily access information.
In season, the library also offers you the opportunity to take part in exhibitions and educational activities: stories told, dedications, etc.
