Le hameau du Cruet
Located on the border of Combloux and Domancy, the village is worth a little detour which will allow you to discover old farms, bread ovens, chapels…
A first chapel built in 1671 in wood would have been ravaged by a fire. The current chapel was rebuilt in 1882.
It was placed under the name of Saint Francis de Sales, to protect against the plague.
The trusses have retained their struts (oblique planks under the ridge of the roof), on which one can read the date of construction, the name of the owner, and religious maxims.
A few outbuildings are still visible: the bread oven, or the attic. A few granite basins, a cross.
By taking a few steps towards Grange Neuve, the view of the valley and the Mont-Blanc plain is magnificent. You will be surprised to discover a plain made of “parquet strips”.
