The Auberge du Truc is located on a plateau at an altitude of 1750m, on the Col du Tricot variant of the Tour du Mont-Blanc route as well as on the Tour du Pays du Mont-Blanc and the GR5.
The panoramic view extends over 360°, from the Dômes de Miage to the Aravis mountain range.
Le Truc is first and foremost the mountain pasture, run by the same family since 1936!!! It is possible to enjoy a good glass of fresh milk at the Auberge.
The dormitory contains 28 places. The hiker's meal is served in the evening. At lunchtime, on the terrace or by the fire, the Auberge offers an à la carte lunch.
Opportunity to attend the milking of the cows at the alpine farm next to the Auberge in the evening from 17 p.m.

Tips and Suggestions
Hostel on the route of the GR5 Tour du Mont Blanc and GRP Tour du pays du Mont Blanc.
Summits: Aiguille de Covagnet – Aiguille du Tricot. (for experienced hikers) Very beautiful views, route without trail.
Day hike: Refuge de Plan Glacier, a bit dizzying crossing from Col du Tricot, approaching the glaciers. Col du Tricot climb in 2 hours, beautiful view of Mont Blanc, easy. Tour de Vorassay, loop over the day, interesting for its diversity of landscapes and difficulties.
Hiking over several days: Several possibilities either in Chamonix or around Les Contamines.
