Chinese energetic martial art with soft, slow, flexible and harmoniously choreographed movements.
Derived from martial arts, tai chi classes are given individually or in groups, generally lasting around 1 hour and take place in three phases. It begins with warm-up and flexibility exercises lasting around twenty minutes. Then, the teacher can integrate exercises to rebalance body posture and channel energy. The rest of the session will consist of learning the tai chi movements and performing them slowly, in order. While the first two phases take place individually, the last phase takes place in a group.
