Baptiste Chassagne wins at home

The day after the conclusion of his sports partnership with the municipality of Combloux, Baptiste Chassagne won the XL format of La Comblorane, a queen event of 38 km which he completed in a record time of 3h54. “A story that starts well”, these are the words of the combloran athlete to conclude this performance and salute the trust granted by his adopted municipality.

Kappert Ruud finished in second place in 4:03, followed by Paul Lenoir and Stéphen Roux tied for 3rd place in 4:13. After being neck and neck throughout the race, the two men crossed the finish line together, a beautiful moment of sport and sharing.

Among the ladies, Agathe Lebel and Morgane Cretton achieved a fine performance by finishing tied for 1st place in 5h16, more than 30 minutes before Mélina Muffat-Méridol who completed the race in 5h48.

The 25 km L format was a resounding success, being sold out with 300 runners on the starting line. Among the men, Dylan Ribeiro won in 2h08, closely followed by Léandre Santin in 2h09. Jérémie Gachet, the local star of the Spartan Race, completes the podium in 2h12.

On the women's side, Anthéa Juin climbs on the 1st step of the podium by completing the 25 km in 2h37. Margaux Henry and Gaëlle Loridat complete the podium respectively in 2h52 and 2h54.

Yesterday, Saturday, there were also many of them in the village of La Comblorane to take part in the family and children's races and the 7 km M trail. The 7 km canicross format saw nearly thirty runners leave accompanied by their four-legged companion.

It must be said that this weekend all the conditions were met to have fun on a nature race in the mountains. Once again the runners returned delighted and underlined the beauty of the landscapes and the kindness of the volunteers present throughout the course. And to reward the efforts of all the trail runners, the Tourist Office has bet this year on an ethical and local finisher gift: a farmer's Reblochon in the colors of Comblorane, produced in Combloux by the GAEC Les Montagnards and Val Mont-Blanc.
