Indeed, this summer, Combloux shone in the spotlight with the emblematic arrival of the only time trial of the Tour de France on July 18, which attracted cycling enthusiasts from all over the world. The streets of the village have been transformed into a real sporting spectacle, offering residents and visitors a unique experience.
In addition to the Tour de France, Combloux also offered several sporting events considered locally as unmissable events, notably the “Comblorane”, a trail race which brings together more than 900 participants each year, as well as the traditional “Relais Nocturne”. The considerable increase in tourist numbers this summer of 20% therefore testifies to the success of this exceptional summer. It should be noted that this increase must be qualified, as summer 2023 benefited from one week more than the previous year due to the early start of the school year in 2022. However, even taking this factor into account, Combloux recorded 240 overnight stays over the period from June 000 to August 17, a significant increase of 26% compared to the previous summer.
The director of the Combloux Tourist Office, Mr. Aurélien Astre, expressed his satisfaction with these positive results:
