La Crève-Cœur postponed to March 10, 2023

It was to take place on January 13, the essential ski touring race “La Crève-Cœur” has finally been postponed to March 10 due to the low snowfall.

Indeed, the weather conditions at the end of December considerably degraded the already thin snowpack, leading to the closure of the Les Portes du Mont-Blanc ski area.

Although the forecasts seem to be for a gradual return to seasonal temperatures, no significant snowfall is expected in the coming days, which means that a ski touring race cannot be maintained in optimal safety conditions.

The Combloux Tourist Office, organizer of the race, has therefore decided to postpone La Crève-Cœur to Friday March 10, 2023.

The start will be given at 18:50 p.m. for the Petite-Crève-Cœur (3,9 km for 570 m of elevation gain) and at 19 p.m. for the classic format of 5,8 km for 730 m of elevation gain.

Each year La Crève-Cœur brings together around 200 participants on the starting line at the foot of the Les Portes du Mont-Blanc ski area.
