New formula for the Echappée Rando
The traditional evening dedicated to the discovery of ski touring organized by Combloux since 2018 made its return this Tuesday in a more accessible format. For lack of sufficient snow, the first two dates scheduled for the Christmas holidays had to be canceled.
So it's time for several evenings of initiation or rediscovery of ski touring in Combloux, every Tuesday from January 31 to March 7. In a convivial format, the Echappée Rando offers a collective ascent in ski touring at nightfall, supervised by mountain professionals for a practice in complete safety. After the descent via the alpine ski slopes, a buffet of local products awaits the participants to reward the efforts of the climb.
Faced with the success and strong participation of neophytes who came to take advantage of the opportunity to try out ski touring for the first time during previous editions, Combloux has chosen to offer a new, shorter route for this season with less height difference for even more accessibility.
A new course which was appreciated by the first participants of the season last night, delighted to be able to take part in an event for all ages, the only prerequisite being to know how to descend a red run on alpine skis (although the descent is done by blue and green slopes, the descent at night requires being comfortable on skis).
For those who don't already have the equipment, an equipment pack has been negotiated especially for the Rando Breakaway in partner sports shops at the single price of €27.
The Völkl brand, a partner of Combloux, will be present at the event on February 14 to have its range of touring skis tested. Finally, to close the season and celebrate Women's Day, a 100% female start will be offered on the last date of the season on March 7, 2023.
