Located at the entrance to the village, Chalet Gipsy offers a fun menu: it's up to you to check the dishes you want to taste from a selection of sharing plates, inspired by here and elsewhere. It's the ideal place to meet up with friends in a cozy atmosphere, with a decor that mixes chalet spirit and bohemian touches, all in a lively and relaxed atmosphere until 23 p.m.
Behind this beautiful address, two local children: Alexis Dumas, a freeride ski enthusiast and instructor, and Clovis Duvillard, chef and photographer-videographer, share their passions and talents.
Everything is tasted, nothing is lost
Here, there is no three-course menu, but a table that fills up as the mood takes you. First, the sweet potato fries: they are good, simple and effective. They are accompanied by a spicy homemade sauce that everyone loves. We continue with the shrimp tempuras, light and crunchy, to nibble on with your fingertips. The beef tataki plays on balance, tender and well marinated, with just the right amount of pep. Then the gyozas invite themselves to the party, golden brown as desired. And to finish, the fried reblochon bonbons…like a Savoyard hug, with all the right melting and crispiness.
Cocktails are the same. The Bora Bora brings an exotic touch, the Pornstar Martini sends a nice dose of fruit, and the Jardin Anglais refreshes without overwhelming the rest. A truly good time to share, quite simply.
Not just a restaurant!
This winter, from 17 p.m. to 19 p.m., the Chalet Gipsy is transformed into a coffee shop where you can enjoy a gourmet snack to recharge your batteries after a busy day.
With its cozy decor and warm atmosphere, you could easily spend the afternoon there... and the evening, while you're at it! Definitely an address where it's hard not to feel at home.
