In this family business, every action counts to build a more environmentally friendly future. With teams invested in concrete actions, Borini proves every day that it is possible to grow by combining team well-being, quality of service and responsible practices, while remaining true to its values.

Whether you are a resident of the Pays du Mont-Blanc or a holidaymaker, you have most certainly already had dealings with Borini coaches! Whether it is to go to school, go to work, go up to a ski resort or go on a trip, Borini vehicles have been crisscrossing the roads for over 50 years to ensure everyone's mobility.

It is difficult for this transport company, based in Combloux in the heart of an exceptional natural setting, to ignore current climate issues. But rather than making them a constraint, the teams have made them a vision.

Little things that make a big whole

With 80 permanent drivers, and more than 45 seasonal drivers in high season, the ecological commitment begins with simple and concrete actions: digitalization of schedules on a common online portal, a personalized cup for each instead of cups... A set of small common efforts that do not, however, contradict comfort: you only have to look at the spacious break room/rest area with a view of the mountains! How about a little table football? Games, reading, gym, relaxation... there is something for all tastes and habits.

Heading for autonomy

At Borini, we go all the way. Limiting printing and waste is already good. Achieving energy autonomy in a clean and responsible way within a transport company is even better. While some vehicles still run on diesel to meet the specific needs of certain journeys, the rest of the fleet runs on renewable energies, such as green electricity and biogas.

And how does Borini manage to power this green fleet? In particular, thanks to the construction of two Biogas refueling stations, on the heights at Demi Quartier, and lower down at Passy, in order to be able to fill up with Biogas without driving unnecessary kilometers. On the electric vehicle side, it is thanks to the installation of photovoltaic canopies, the idea for which was born 4 years ago, and finally materialized in this year 2024 with a surface area of 1200m2 solar production which covers 328% of its energy needs in self-consumption!

This resource not only powers vehicles and offices, but also Moustache electric bikes for permanent employees, since they benefit from them free of charge as long as they commit to making 45 home/work trips per year. And, for all its employees, Borini also offers fuel on its sites and without limit, as long as it is electric!

Ecology: a team affair

At Borini, ecological commitment is based on collective reflection where each employee can, if they wish, actively contribute. For example, how can we perfect an optimized washing cycle for vehicles that are always spotless?

The solution was born from the creativity and ingenuity of the teams: since October 17, rainwater collection systems have been grafted under the canopies and thus make it possible to count on a reserve of 67 m³, which itself makes it possible to replenish the water loss from the closed circuit of the washing area. Another step towards an even more successful ecological approach.
