If you're looking for a magical evening to end a beautiful summer day, look no further than the Grand Spectacle de Combloux. This nocturnal meeting, much more than simple entertainment, is a true immersion in the soul of our mountain village.
Meet at Saint-Nicolas Church
The meeting takes place at nightfall. So it was shortly before 22 p.m. that we followed the crowd heading towards Saint Nicholas Church, beautifully illuminated for the occasion. When we arrive, a volunteer in period costume welcomes us warmly and assigns us our seats. A simple gesture that already adds a special touch to the evening and prepares us for an immersion in 19th century Combloux.
We still have a few minutes before the performance starts, so we take the opportunity to refresh ourselves and grab a bite to eat. the refreshment bar on site held by the Grand Spectacle association.
Let the show begin !
It's time, and we return to our places facing a natural scene, the moon and the baroque bell tower in the background. Cornelius of Darkwinter, an enigmatic Combloran character, opens the story by narrating to us a story full of mystery and poetry. Through his words, he skillfully weaves the framework of the plot, laying the groundwork for the challenges that await his nephew Joseph.
The staging that follows will not leave you indifferent: the light effects, the sound effects and the costumes transport us to the heart of the story. Throughout the performance, we discover the characters of Joseph, Balandran and Justine, who emerge as deeply endearing characters. Will they succeed in overcoming the challenges that lie before them? This question keeps us in suspense until the end.
And yes, the Great Combloux Show, it’s a real mosaic of emotions! Certain scenes give us chills, others overflow with romanticism, And epic moments, where horses and soldiers appear, add a touch of grandeur. It's like a living film, carried by actors that one might encounter at the bend of a street in Combloux, making the experience even more authentic and poignant.
Because yes, what makes this show truly unique is its actors. All volunteers, these passionate and dedicated residents have spent the year preparing this event to share a piece of their culture with you.
