A living and open place that welcomes visitors, the Maison de la Mémoire et du Patrimoine [Heritage Centre] is designed to allow everyone to familiarise themselves with the heritage of Chamonix Mont Blanc Valley and to make it their own.
Just a short distance from the centre of Chamonix is this delightful chalet, the “Alpenrose”, which houses the studio and home of Marcel Wibault. The Chamonix-based artist spent his whole life painting his favourite subject, the mountains.
Saint-Gervais creates a new aqua leisure complex composed of: a 25m pool, a leisure poolsuitable for families combined with a paddling pool, an outdoor pool, an area dedicated to wellness and a cafeteria. Swim shorts forbidden.
Housed in the former Chamonix-Palace which dates back to the early 20th C, the Musée Alpin records the development of Chamonix – from when the first tourists came to admire the glaciers right up to when the cable cars were built.
