Come and escape...Put on your touring skis and discover Combloux, a part of the "Les Portes du Mont-Blanc" ski area!
The village of Combloux and its ski area "Les Portes du Mont Blanc" are already able to help you realise a wide variety of alpine passions... And now they have taken it one step (or slide!) further, with their new ski touring route!
La Crève Cœur (5.8km long, over an altitude difference of 784m)
From the Bouchet car park, start by going up the Pinson ski run. Then cross the road and continue up the Baghera ski slope, before joining the snow shoeing track under the Beauregard chairlift. At the crossroads, turn right for a beautiful climb in the forest, before traversing two slops. Once back in the forest, keep continuing upwards, until you arrive at Plaine Joux, before you tackle the last bit of the itinerary on the side of the ski slope. Keep going past La Croix, until you are at the top of the Pertuis chairlift...where you have reached the highest point of Combloux. Enjoy the panorama spread out before your eyes, including a spectacular view of the Mont Blanc.
When to go? All day long...from the moment the slopes open, until they close.
And to get back down? You will return back to your starting point on the pistes; it is your choice whether you glide back down the blue slope 'La Croix', or if you prefer the red run 'Les Ambrouzalles', or whether you could be tempted by the 'Blaireau' black piste.....or even the Boarder cross!
And if you're a beginner? Contact the French Ski School (ESF) to discover the joy of this sport with a professional at your side, offering you guidance and motivation.
Want to go higher or further? Pay for a one-way trip up the Beauregard, Pertuis and / or Jouty lifts... And perhaps be tempted by the 'off piste' Croisse Baulet area.
A bit of advice... The presence of an Instructor or a Mountain Guide is recommended. Particularly when considering an excursion into an area considered 'off-piste'. Pay close attention to the snow conditions and weather forecasted. Take an Arva, snow shovel and sono with you. Tell people where you're going. In the mountains, every little detail counts!!
Even though the Crève Cœur is not in an area considered to be an avalanche risk, make sure you and your back pack are well equipped for the journey you are going to undertake. When you are climbing up the side of marked ski slopes, please stick to the right hand side, and be aware of those around you.
