Tairraz Centre - Crystal Museum
Overview
The museum’s completion is the culmination of a collaboration between the Mineralogy Club and the town of Chamonix. This facility is intended as a "site" museum that gives pride of place to minerals from Mont Blanc, which are known throughout the world, particularly smoked quartz and pink fluorspars. The exhibits come from the club’s collections, the Musée Alpin (municipal collection), the "Lesage" collection bought by the municipal authority and the club, and others are on loan from crystal specialists and collectors.
The "Espace Tairraz" propose also the interactive mounteering exhibition.

From 03/12/12 to 30/06/13 : open daily from 2 PM to 6 PM (During school holidays open from 10AM to noon and from 2 PM to 7 PM;), except on 29/04.
From 01/07 to 31/08/13 : open daily (From 10AM to 1PM and from 2PM to 7PM.).
